As a follow-up to yesterday’s wonderful breakdown of the corebook Archetypes, Darren G. Miller offers up another round of TV and movie-based inspiration for the Archetypes from the Bunch of SoBs line.
Check out his take on the Capper, Trouble, Sawbones, Paladin, Ingenue, and [REDACTED] over at Geekcentricity.
Over at Geekcentricity, Darren G. Miller breaks down the Streets of Bedlam Archetypes and offers up some examples from a whole bunch of a great TV shows and movies. Highly worth reading if you’re interested in different takes on the core Archetypes.
Geekcentricity: The Usual Suspects
Well done, Darren! Seriously good stuff.
It’s a banner week for updates here at StreetsOfBedlam.com. This time, I’d like to draw your attention to a new pair of Archetypes for use in your campaign.
Take on corruption face-first as the determined Paladin or stand up for the little guy as the bad guy-turned-good Capper.
You can pick up the 12-page PDF for just $3 over at DriveThruRPG.
I hope you all enjoy these new Archetypes. Now I can turn my attention to starting up those SoB Stories. I can’t wait to dig in!
Hey, everyone, I just heard back from the last backer who chose to influence an upcoming SoB Story and wanted to share. Check out the cover and story to the fifth planned SoB Story below.

The Devils from Dublin
When word comes down that a couple brothers are in town looking to collect the debts due to their dear, departed father, the authorities launch a manhunt. But the truth is the brothers are looking for more than money, they’re after a high-ranking member of the Bedlam aristocracy and are more than willing to murder their way to them. |
Coming to theaters on August 22nd. I am so gonna be there.
DriveThruRPG is running their GM’s Day Sale and have Five-Story Drop for just $7! (It’s a tenner, normally.)
(If you’re a fan of my other game line, Little Fears, you can pick up some Campfire Tales for Little Fears Nightmare Edition—The Fall Harvest, Death by Chocolate, and Camp Howling Wolf—while you’re there as well.)

Derek Stoelting gives a glowing review of Streets of Bedlam over at his blog:
All in all, this is the best Savage Worlds game I’ve seen in a long time and another feather in the cap for Jason L Blair and FunSizedGames’ hats.
Thank you, Derek!

I came across the following comic book series and thought I’d share. It seems to be right up Bedlam’s alley. Peep the description:
Mysterious killers dressed in white, they savaged the Cold War Russian underworld—then disappeared. Now they have resurfaced in New York, leaving a trail of dead mobsters. In this bloody wake, an amnesiac and an FBI agent search for the answer to a single question: Who are the White Suits?
The four-part series just kicked off in both print and digital format. Click the pic below to check out the preview over at Dark Horse’s site.
After consulting with backers of the SoB Kickstarter, I am proud to announce that the formerly-Kickstarter exclusive Archetypes are now available to everybody! Introducing Streets of Bedlam: A Bunch of SOBs, a new line of Archetypes ready for use with your game. These 12-page PDFs include a full write-up of each Archetype, just like in the corebook, along with signature characters for use as PC starting points or NPCs.
Each release in this line includes two Archetypes.
A Bunch of SOBs: Ingenue + Sawbones
Reach for the stars as the talented-yet-naive Ingenue or sit on the razor’s edge as the high-pressure combat doc Sawbones.
A Bunch of SOBs: [REDACTED] + Trouble
Get deep into the game as the undercover [Redacted] or get what’s yours as the manipulative Trouble.
